Three water washing methods of s-pipe valve concrete pump

in the construction of concrete pumping, the cleaning of concrete is an essential and important step after pumping. A good cleaning method can not only clean the transmission pipeline, but also transport all the concrete in the pipeline to the pouring site, which not only does not waste concrete, but also is economical and environmental friendly. There are three common washing methods for s-pipe valve concrete pump, which are introduced as follows

1 direct water pumping method

1) check the wear between the cutting ring and the eye plate, which is the key to the success or failure of cleaning with direct water pumping method if it is simply to seek low price. If the cutting ring and eye plate are not seriously worn, the distance between the cutting ring and eye plate is less than 0.1mm, and there is no groove scratch more than 1mm between them, the direct water pumping method can be used

2) after pumping the concrete, pump 0.15 ~ 0.25m+3 mortar with water cement ratio of 1:1.5 or 1:2, fill the distribution valve with water, start pumping, and pump the concrete to the pouring place until clear water flows out of the output end of the delivery pipe. If the pipeline is short and the cleaning effect is good, the cleaning process is over

3) when the pipeline is long or the cleaning effect is not good, open the hopper discharge door, open the reverse pump, and wash the hopper and distribution valve. If it is pumped upward and the height is> 20m, the elbow at the bottom of the vertical part can be knocked with a wooden hammer. If the knocking sound is low, the elbow needs to be disassembled to pour out the large aggregate that may accumulate

4) close the discharge door and pump clean water until it flows out of the output end of the delivery pipe

the advantages of the direct water pumping method are that it is not necessary to disassemble the discharge pipe and add a cleaning ball, which saves time and is easier to pump successfully, especially for cleaning shorter pipelines

its disadvantages: ① the water consumption is large and the pump water must be continuous, so the water can be easily discharged at the pouring site; ② If there is a vertical upward pipe, the elbow must usually be removed; ③ When the transmission pipeline is long, it is easy to have residues in the pipeline; ④ Strict requirements on the sealing of distribution valve

2 remove the discharge pipe method

1) after pumping the concrete, reverse the pump for 1 ~ 2 cycles to eliminate the pressure in the delivery pipe. If pumping upward, the stop valve must be closed first to prevent the concrete from flowing back, and then the discharge pipe must be removed

2) open the discharge door of the hopper, and the reverse pump will flush the concrete in the distribution valve, concrete cylinder and hopper

3) take out some concrete from the mouth of the first 6B or 5B conveying pipe and insert it into a water soaked cleaning ball or cylindrical cleaning piston

4) close the discharge valve of the distribution valve, open the stop valve if any, and pump clean water until the piston is pumped out from the output end of the delivery pipe

the advantage of removing the discharge pipe method is that the pipe is cleaned relatively clean, and the flow rate of the water source can be low and suspended. Its disadvantage is that it is difficult to connect again after the discharge port is disassembled, which is laborious

3 plus piston method

1) roll 10 ~ 20 cement bags into a column with a diameter slightly smaller than the diameter of the conveying cylinder, a slightly pointed head and a length of about 400mm, bind it with fine iron wire, gently tie the cleaning ball with iron wire at the tail of the column, and soak it with water

2) after pumping the concrete, reverse the pump for 1 ~ 2 cycles to eliminate the pressure in the delivery pipe with the continuous improvement of control accuracy. Press the button to make the concrete cylinder piston retreat to the last point. If pumping upward and there is a stop valve, it must be closed first to prevent concrete backflow

3) remove the discharge pipe, open the discharge door of the hopper, and wash the concrete in the distribution valve, concrete cylinder and hopper by the reverse pump

4) close the hopper discharge door and add water to the hopper. When the water is added to the height of 2/3 of the diameter of the concrete cylinder, put the head of the cylinder into the concrete cylinder towards the direction of the distribution valve, hold the cylinder with a wooden skid bar with a length of about 1m and a diameter of about 30m, and continue to add water to the height of the center line of the mixing shaft

5) withdraw the crowbar, quickly start pumping, and continue to add water until the cylinder is pumped out from the output end of the delivery pipe. The advantages of the piston method are that the pipeline is cleaned relatively, the flow rate of the water source can be low and can be suspended, and the trouble of removing the outlet and elbow is reduced at the same time. The disadvantage is that the operation requirements are high, and the distribution valve is easy to cut off the cylinder. The above three concrete pump washing methods have their own advantages and disadvantages. Among them, the most reliable method is to remove the discharge pipe, and the simplest method is to add a piston. If the conveying distance is short, the direct water pumping method is also a good choice. The specific method should be determined according to the actual situation of construction.
